Our Story
The story of Bellwood begins with Joel and Charles Norman. These brothers have known for a long time that they wanted to be in the coffee business together. Joel and Charles found jobs serving high-quality coffee at two of the best shops in Atlanta, learning from some of the brightest in the coffee world. They continued building a dream of a coffee company that truly makes a difference in the lives of its people and the people it serves, creating a space that invites the world in.
To handle Bellwood’s roasting operations, the Normans brought in Ben Shaum, an experienced roaster from Colorado who shares similar dreams and values. They also teamed up with Tommy Keough, a gifted designer who handles Bellwood’s Creative Direction.
Our small Bellwood Team is dedicated to moving the coffee industry forward, using its values - openness, sustainability, creativity, and forward-thinking - as a guide. We can’t wait to serve you.
